Bhubaneswar Branch of Eastern India Regional Council (EIRC) of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) was setup on 16 September 1979. Presently it is the largest branch in the eastern India region. Purchase of land for branch in 1997, measuring about 8,000 Sq Ft., was possible by generous contribution of members, located in the heart of the city.
The foundation stone was laid in 1999 by Sri Rahul Roy, President of ICAI and the construction of the building with a plinth area of 4000 Sq Ft was started in the year 2000 and completed in 2006.
